As most of you know I play jazz and last Saturday I played a gig with "Collaborat{r}io" at a small jazz club called J-Mood.There were 3 musicians, Fumie Chiba on Piano, Todd Nicholson on Double Bass and myself on Drums. Kelly Churko, another Stage Line teacher, guested on Guitar for one tune. This was actually the first time we had played together and surprisingly it went quite well! We played 2 sets of about an hour playing about 12 tunes by famous jazz pianists including Chick Corea, Thelonius Monk and Herbie Hancock. There was also a great audience mostly made up of Stage Line students, who came despite the rain….!!!! It was really great to make some music from behind the drum kit and I look forward to doing it again soon. A big thank-you to everyone who came along! 新宿校インストラクター TIM
