Does it snow in Tokyo? That’s a question I often get from friends back home. Yes, it snows in Tokyo, and it varies so much from year to year! Some years you’ll get next to nothing, others you’ll get several episodes of snow which settle for a few days, or a week, (or even more!) if it’s left alone. In the almost 9 years I have been here it has snowed every year, once or twice a year, and I take pictures every time! I can tell you that this year, 2012, there seems to be slightly more snow and streets may be icier than usual so, we just have to be a little more careful when walking or driving.
