Whats good?! August has been a really fun month! In the first week, I went to Aomori with my girlfriend to see Nebuta (Aomori), Neputa (Hirosaki), and Tachi Nebuta (Goshogawara). After that, I came back to Sendai to see Tanabata. They were all really beautiful and a lot of fun. Japan has some amazing history and traditions! A few days later, I celebrated my birthday with some friends at a small bar in Kokubuncho. I also got a new camera and went to a waterfall near Akiu and took some pictures. Thanks to all of the students who wished me a happy birthday and gave me cards and gifts! After that, I went to Tokyo to meet some friends and do some shopping. I spent a lot of time in Harajuku looking for clothes and checking out the fashion. It’s always fun to do that in Harajuku. Lastly, my friend from Canada came to visit. She used to live in Sendai but I haven’t seen her for about 8 months. We did some karaoke last night and have some more plans this week. I’m looking forward to the rest of the week.
